Does GABA work for anxiety?

Yes, GABA works to reduce the problem of anxiety. Because Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) exists in your central brain nerves which acts to reduce anxiety responsibly. During anxiety, the central brain and fear circuits get hyperactive. Then GABA neurons get out and flow into the receptors sites and meet the empty spaces in postsynaptic receptors. When GABA neuron binds with the receptors, it actually inhibits the central brain and slows down the hyperactivity and anxiety. So, this is an ever-running process that when GABA neurons are released, anxiety gets reduced.
